on December 01, 2022, The diplomats, officials together with their family members within the Embassy of Lao PDR in Hanoi gathered to clean the embassy's buildings, garden and sport playground in order to refresh the environment surround the embassy as well as to commemorate the 47th Anniversary of the National Day of Lao People's Democratic Republic, 02 December 1975-02 December 2022.
On September 09, 2022, the Lao mass organizations (Trade Union, Youth Union and Women’s Union) of the Embassy of Lao PDR in Hanoi jointly organized the Friendship Football Tournament with a number of Vietnamese line ministries, particularly Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense of Socialist Republic of Vietnam and others.
The event was organized and lasted for a half day with enjoyable and friendship atmosphere, aiming at strengthening the great relations, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Lao PDR and S.R of Vietnam as well as to be an activity to celebrate the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Year (60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Lao PDR and S.R of Vietnam and 45th Anniversary for the Signing of the Treaty on Amity and Cooperation between Lao PDR and S.R of Vietnam).
Senior Diplomats and staff at the Embassy of Lao PDR in Hanoi participated in various activities on the occasion of Lao New Year Festival 2022
- Lao Trade Union steering committee of the Embassy of Lao PDR to the S.R of Vietnam actively observed and visited the diplomats, officials, students and trade union members who were infected by the Covid-19 disease during Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 to 2022.
In this regard, the Lao Trade Union Steering Committee of the Embassy of Lao PDR delivered some medical and financial assistance to infected persons at the Embassy of Lao PDR and universities in Hanoi as well as blessing them to recover for their illness soon.
On Saturday morning, August 13, 2022, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ASEAN Women's Circle of Hanoi (AWCH) jointly organized the ASEAN Family Day 2022. The event aims to honor ASEAN's community values, enhance understanding, friendship and promote ASEAN's solidarity.
H.E. Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs of S.R of Vietnam, leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ambassadors, Heads of Missions, Embassy staff, Delegations of all ASEAN countries and ASEAN Dialogue Partners in Hanoi, AWCH team members, Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials and their families attended the event.
The ASEAN Family Day 2022 with activities resumed in person after two difficult years of COVID-19, attracted the participation of a large number of delegates and guests, demonstrating joint efforts to defeat the COVID-19 epidemic as well as strong support and commitment to ASEAN.
On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Sengphet Houngboungnuang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to S.R of Vietnam and his spouse together with Deputy Chief of Mission, Counsellors, diplomats and their families also participated in the event.
The Embassy of Lao PDR in Hanoi had actively contributed 4 key activities including Friendship Cycling, Lao traditional games (stilt walking game, spinning tops game and marklae game), cultural performance and traditional costume fashion show, and traditional food exchange (Larb, papaya salad, riverweed or freshwater green algae and sticky rice)
